We all want to find a great website builder for our needs. Voog is an easy-to-use solution that’s the perfect fit for any online store. Plus, the integrations are simple to figure out and link up.

My Voog website builder review will cover the main features, what other users think, and how the builder stacks up against others in the industry.

Let’s get started.

What Is Voog?

More than 60 people launched the Voog website builder in 2007. Their main goal was to provide a platform that’s easy to use and good for creating multilingual websites. At the time of this review, more than 500k people have signed up for the service.

The drag and drop editor is easy to master. But if you struggle to start, you can always go through the available guides and tutorials.

Who Can Benefit the Most From Voog’s Website Builder?

  • Web developers and web designers — Experienced users will enjoy the builder as it offers several complex settings that are a click away. Namely, you can add tools, code, or use other features depending on your needs.
  • BloggersIf you’re a blogger, Voog has fantastic features that can help you gain more visibility. Also, you can take advantage of the comment sections, page management, and adding media.
  • Online Sellers — You can create an online store with all three plans. The basic one lets you have only three products, while the two pricier plans offer much more. Plus, you can use different shipping options, payment gateways, and tax calculations.

Setup Process

To get started with Voog, you have choose a template for your site. There are various options for each type of website, but I’ll cover the themes and templates in more detail a bit later.

The signup process is fast and efficient — you only need to enter your email address, a password and the website name.

While Voog asks for your name and phone number, providing this information is optional.

Once you verify your account, you’ll go to the dashboard and then click “edit website”, and you’ll enter the website editor.

After you pick a template, you can opt for a quick tutorial that will explain everything about the Voog website builder. The tutorial walks you through the main features and describes the purpose of all the tools.

Voog Website Builder — Ease of Use

Like some other website building tools, Voog’s main mission is to provide an easy-to-understand platform. So the company has opted for an intuitive design you can leverage to build a website in an hour or two.

You should keep in mind that, aside from the tutorial, Voog also offers a dedicated support page where you can find various guides that explain how to achieve everything with the builder.

The guides cover:

  • Setting up your account
  • Managing website pages
  • SEO features
  • Language support
  • Website design
  • Subscriptions

To further expand its ease of use, Voog also offers in-depth video tutorials and webinars. While it’s great to have so many options, chances are you won’t need most guides for building a simple website. Still, you’ll find it valuable when using the Voog design system for complex projects.

Drag-and-Drop Functionality

After choosing your template, you’ll see the actual website builder editor. Voog has opted for a minimalistic editor that’s lightweight and easy to use. All the tools are in the right place, and you won’t find any unnecessary information.

The tool menu is at the bottom of the screen, and clicking on it displays more options. The editor is easy to use and good for facilitating focus. Voog features drag-and-drop functionality, so adding content to your website is a breeze.

The interface is compact, thanks to the small icons in the toolbar. To add something, you can either use drag-and-drop or click on one of the options (text box, video, images, forms, buy, social bar, and embedded box)

Text and Image Editing

Voog’s image editor shows you exactly where the images will end up after you drop them. You’re editing directly on your website, so you can always see the website’s general design and feel. When it comes to image editing, you can move and align pictures, add links, and image titles.

As for the Voog word processor, once you add a text box, you’ll see most of its functionalities, including the fonts, headers, size, list, tables, colours, alignment, and style.

Voog’s users sometimes complain about its media support. And if I measure Voog against a few of its competitors, I can see that the associated features aren’t as extensive as theirs. The media options include images, galleries, videos, or embedded media.

Unfortunately, the builder doesn’t offer an integrated media player or audio support. But the media support offers plenty of tools. Also, you can choose how to display and organise the images on your website.

Keep in mind there’s a limit to how much content you can upload, depending on your plan. That’s why it’s best to figure out the hosting and not use a subdomain for your site if you’re considering making it rich in media.

Page design, layout, themes, and templates are essential to any website. If your page looks bad, your content won’t matter. More than one Voog templates review says the platform offers well-designed and responsive themes that are bound to be satisfactory.

But there’s a downside to this. Voog has a very limited number of themes, although it’s planning on introducing more options soon. However, the themes are suitable for multiple types of websites, including blogs and ecommerce shops. Plus, their features are responsive, and the website speed is guaranteed.

Generally, Voog reviews describe the themes as modern, sleek, yet a bit default-looking. There’s not much that makes them stand out. But after all, how many websites are truly unique?

Modifying the builder’s default themes is somewhat challenging and requires coding knowledge. However, there are several built-in customisation options, so if you choose Voog and keep good design practices in mind, you’ll be satisfied with the final look of your website.

Voog’s approach is understandable as its main mission is ease of use. Depending on your payment plan, you can use both free and paid theme options.

Regarding mobile-friendliness, you’ll be happy to learn that the templates are optimized for all devices. But I still suggest you test the changes to be 100% sure that everything will appear as it should.

Voog Pricing

Voog has three pricing plans:

  • Standard
  • Plus
  • Premium

Unfortunately, the platform doesn’t offer a free plan, but there’s a 30-days free trial. When it comes to payment methods, you can use PayPal, Luminor, Stripe, online banking, and credit card processors.

There are two subscription types — monthly and annual. When it comes to Voog and the price for each plan, you can see how much you can save with an annual subscription in the picture below.

screenshot of voog website builder pricing plans

All plans give you access to these features:

  • SSL security
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Mobile-friendly websites
  • Website analytics
  • Customizable designs
  • Developers tools
  • Password protection

With a Standard plan, you receive 5GB of storage, up to 30 pages on your website, and up to three products in your online store. The plan is limited in other ways, too. For example, you can have up to three contributors and a website in three languages. The Standard and Plus plans include a 3% transaction Voog fees.

The Plus plan is the most popular as it offers the best value for money. It differs from the Standard plan in that you can have an unlimited number of pages, contributors, languages, and products. Plus, you’ll get a free custom domain, 20GB of storage, and access to SEO and database tools.

The Premium plan is the priciest, but it includes everything from other plans and much more:

  • Customer support priority
  • No transaction fee
  • Unlimited storage
  • Custom SSL certificates and CDN
  • A redirect tool

When you sign up with Voog, you’ll notice a few standard features for sought-after website builders:

  • SEO tools
  • Analytics tools
  • Blogging
  • Online code editor
  • Resources
  • Images and videos
  • Domain names
  • Multilingual options
  • Data management

Voog makes all these aspects easy to manage and use

Your domain name is vital, as it helps users find you online. With this builder, you can either import your domain name if you have one, use the one Voog provides, or purchase through the service.

My Voog website builder review shows the platform provides many helpful resources to guide you. That includes help on how analytics work, how to upload media files, and how to blog for your industry.

SEO is critical, and Voog provides all the information on how to improve it. Plus, the helpful CMS system makes data management simple.

Voog Collaborations

Another exciting aspect of Voog allows collaboration when building websites. You can easily send invitations to your partners or give them permissions to edit.

Each Voog plan comes with a specific storage amount. Voog pricing for the Standard plan gives you 5GB, Voog Plus provides 20GB, and Voog Premium has unlimited storage.

An API (Application Programming Interface) is how two types of software communicate. It sounds technical, but it’s quite simple.

The Voog design system has a very powerful API with a plain interface that lets you manage, push, and remove parts of your website with ease.

Integrations help you add information from third-party tools on your site. Voog covers:

  • Social mediaYour socials keep users up to date with your services, so linking them to your website is an absolute must.
  • Finance toolsYou can integrate financial tools like Montonio, PayPal, Luminor, EveryPay, Makecommerce, and Fienta Stripe into your Voog website builder site.
  • ShippingIt’s never been easier with integrations like Smartpost, DPD, Outvio, and Omniva, which are all Voog compatible.

My Voog features review finds that easy integrations are among the best tools.

Store Features

Once you have the basics set up, you can easily create a store and use the following:

Voog Reviews and Ratings

I couldn’t find many Voog user reviews, which is normal considering that’s one of the smaller website builders. I hope to hear a lot more about the company in the future.

There are only three reviews on Trustpilot, and Voog receives 2.8 stars. The complaints are about its customer service and limited themes, but they’re over a year old.

Main Competitor

Let’s go over Voog’s main competition.

Voog vs WordPress

WordPress is Voog’s number one competitor, and it takes up a massive part of the web.

Comparing the two, it’s pretty clear where the differences lie. WordPress provides an entirely free site, whereas Voog only gives you a 30-day free trial

But Voog is a little bit simpler. You can have a website up and running very quickly if your content’s ready. In contrast, WordPress requires quite a bit of knowledge to understand how the basics work.

Voog Alternatives

Let’s look at two other names in the industry and see how they compare to the Voog editor.

With Squarespace, you can choose between a DIY or developer version. I like that there’s an option depending on your skill. You can also add extra code with Voog, which is more user-friendly for beginners.

Voog is excellent for creating an online store quickly and easily. In contrast, Jimdo is specifically for business websites. It has lots of useful features, including a full automated legal text generator. To find more differences and similarities, read the overview of Jimdo.

Customer Support

screenshot of voog customer support page

If anything goes wrong, you can count on the Voog customer support and the available knowledge resources.

To get in touch, you can either enter a query directly from the website builder or use the contact form. Email support is also available.

I tested Voog’s customer support and was satisfied with the answers. It took the team a few hours to get back to me with a detailed response. Generally, due to the huge knowledge base, Voog websites don’t usually require much support.

This Voog design system review proves it’s an excellent website builder with many valuable features, like SEO, financial integration, multilingual functions, and analytics.

It’s super easy to use, and it offers plenty of help along the way, with its customer support available seven days a week. I’d recommend Voog for any individual or business that needs a quick and easy start for their online store.

What integrations does Voog offer?

Voog has one of the largest lists of integrations I’ve seen on a website builder. It includes a massive range of social media, finance tools, and shipping features. Voog truly incorporates everything it can.

Is Voog free to use?

There isn’t a free Voog version, but you can opt for a 30-day free trial.

Is Voog easy to use?

The Voog website builder is specifically for first-time users, so everything is straightforward and easy to use.
